Upper Fox

from Wiracocha by Tony Maigua

/

about

This song was inspired in the book “El Zorro de Arriba y Abajo” by the peruvian writer Jose Maria Arguedas. Was the last book he wrote before he committed suicide. Moreover, in the pages of this book he shares his personal diary and that's why he couldn't finish the book completely. The particular life of JMA reflects how a writer raised by indigenous parents being a not indigenous persona and witnessing all the oppression these people lived could trouble his mental health all his life. He couldn't identify with whit people or indigenous people. Although he was an incredible artist and writer, one of the best of Peru.
